We're Going Out There, Tomorrow
We're going out there, tomorrow.
Day after day,
I hear these words,
at the worst of times.
It's when I can finally breathe again,
when the hardship and stress of the day has passed.

I've even had some personal time to punctuate it all.

comfortable drift into sleep awaits me.
Then a figure comes to my side,
towering, dark.
He utters,
'We're going out there, tomorrow."
Such an uttering carries an air of ominous dread,
something that makes my spirit sink
and my heart beat slower.
Because it means tomorrow
will be the same as yesterday.
Waking in darkness,
stumbling through
